Hi Guy’s,

We’ve been mulling around a few ideas of late concerning what to post in our next blog and decided it might be great to share with you, how we at AshRawArt, go about producing the visual compilations for our music videos.

First and foremost, we give the ‘Praise & Glory to the Lord’ for his divine inspiration… which can occur, I might add at anytime… but more often than not, those light bulb moments happen, in the wee small hours of the morning, when our minds are still and free from the noise and clutter that can accumulate throughout the day. It’s now become a common practice of ours to keep pen and paper handy, for when inspiration strikes.

Also, we would like to acknowledge & extend a heartfelt thank you, to the original musical authors, artists, composers, videographers and animators...etc, for sharing your craft and inspiring creative’s… like ourselves… to be creative... post-production wise. Where just as in an artists studio every brushstroke (or frame)... is meticulously crafted... in the hopes of turning a blank canvas into a visual symphony!!!

Now you may have heard that ‘…a picture... is worth a thousand words…’ (Arthur Brisbane), but there is also a saying that ‘...words are like a small drop of ink, falling like dew, upon a thought, producing that which makes thousands… think’ (Lord Byron) and finally, '...where words leave off… music begins…’ (Heinrich Heine). When visual imagery, the written word… that includes the lyrics in a song… vocalized words, storytelling and music are all combined, its ability to convey ideas & promote thought… is astounding.

Storytelling via parables, analogies, pictorial or verbal imagery… is in fact historically… as old as time. It has been the means by which humanity has communicated for millennium. This methodology can be seen within many notable texts… including the ‘Bible’, where everyday occurrences in life, the natural world/creation and/or in nature were used to help convey spiritual concepts and principles.

Music has also played a major role throughout human history and again this too is evident within Christianity… we read within scripture “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord”. (Colossians 3:16)

Music’s primary role in the bible was and still is that of celebration, storytelling, counseling, praise and for worship. Within the realms of Christianity, the words or ‘lyrics’ in songs, were simply expressions of individual experiences that expound, a nations, peoples or individuals personal story or like someone’s personal testimony today, in reference to God, being put to music.

So, for every music video visuals project we undertake we prayerfully consider, the ‘lyrics’ in the song, the personal story being told, the back-story when available, whether the concepts being conveyed are sound or resonate spiritually as well as their authenticity and what imagery may best communicate these concepts and/or principles. In the hope that the creative works produced will... encourage, inspire and enrich peoples lives... as well as share the love and bring ‘music to the ears’, of those who have ears to hear.

Music is all around us… it emanates from all of creation… throughout the heavens and the cosmos. Everything that surrounds us emits sound…. a symphony of music.

Simply speaking, sound or sound waves and frequencies produce vibrations at a molecular level, which release energy and create motion. When these sound waves or vibrations are received by our eardrum, we can hear the sound as it resonates molecularly within our ear and this then continues throughout our entire bodies. This is why we can feel deeply & positively moved when we hear melodic, pleasant and harmonious sounding music.

Sometimes comfort comes on the wings of a melody... "...at night His song is with me..." - Psa 42:8

These invisible forces of sonic beauty have a purpose… just as in the beginning God had a purpose… when he spoke and the worlds were framed… they have been orchestrated by God to resonate throughout all of creation His divine Glory.

'So shall my word (Gods Word) be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it'. - Isaiah 55:11 -

"Music has a beautiful way of quieting the noise and making space for the soul to breathe." - AshRawArt
