As we heralded in the new year of ‘2020 Vision’, as many are calling it, a year that is beckoning us… to learn from the past, to put aside the things that can hinder us and to focus on what’s important. I found myself… probably like many others… reflecting upon the year that was 2019 and what could be… 2020.
I’m a musical artist, self taught musician, amateur songwriter… who loves playing the guitar, busking, musical improvisation, photography, video editing and pretty well anything creative. Thankfully, my day gig… as a Library Officer… allows me the scope to pursue my passions and to live and work within a beautifully vibrant community, where creativity & imagination are encouraged.
I feel incredibly grateful for the opportunities that I’ve had, thus far, to share my ‘creative loves’ and for the love and support that I’ve had from family, friends & townsfolk. Those relationships and experiences, as well as my belief in God, are what’s compelling me to continue.
More and more I’ve been realizing that we shouldn’t limit God, but R E A C H beyond the 'Status Quo' and beyond how we see ourselves… to see how God sees us and our future.
I’ve had a number of artistic ideas floating around in my mind for a year or so now and have been feeling that it is now time to step out of the boat and to take that first step in faith.
My innermost thoughts or intentions have been directed towards, developing a means of connecting with others creatively, promoting authenticity in our craft and above all, glorifying God in all things (Pro 3:6). So, as of January 2020, I established the creative platform ‘AshRawArt’, - a space for artistic collaboration, born from a desire to wholeheartedly love God and love people.
In effect this platforms purpose, I trust, will be to ‘build bridges’ that will span across the globe. Connecting, supporting and fostering strong bonds and relationships that will generate positive spiritual outcomes.
In addition, bringing together those who are seeking to be instruments for Christ and who wish to ‘share the love’ and wish to share their gifts, talents, experience and experiences, in order to, inspire, encourage and cultivate the good things of God.
